The warm golden sun was shining brightly at The Wadsworth Homestead in Geneseo New York. Soon two souls from opposite ends of the country would unite. The groom awaited in anticipation. Trying desperately to focus on the tasks before him, but he was too busy bursting with excitement. Tom’s pacing was met with a moment of stillness upon opening the gift Samantha had left for him. Two custom made Bills jerseys. Complete with their wedding date and new last name.
The girls arrived in matching silk floral robes, even the precious flower girls. Samantha’s beautiful gown was a simple lace from Silk Bridal in Brighton. Her girls were adorned in different styles and shades of blush. She carried with her a succulent bouquet that was eloquently designed by Lisa Meyer at Flower Power Decor. And her timeless hair and makeup were carefully crafted at R-salon in Webster.
Tears started to flow as the father of the bride entered the room. Seeing his baby girl for the first time left everyone in awe.
Finally the time had arrived. Tom would soon see his exquisite bride. Their Ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The sweet mass incorporated Hispanic traditions from Sam’s side of the family. A double unity rosary was placed upon the new bride and groom as prayers were lifted over them. Tom presented Sam with unique coins representing his desire to provide for her all the days of their lives. Two families and two cultures were uniting and everyone was overflowing with joy.
The Reception was filled with toasts, dancing and laughter, thanks to John at Encore Events. The new Mr. & Mrs. opened the dance floor to their song “It all started with a beer” The white tent was decorated in golds, and beautiful tall floral center pieces. Their cake was topped with a gold Minnie & Mickey Mouse to symbolize the beginning of their story.
Sam & Tom, I wish you all the love and happiness life can offer. May the Lord bless your marriage and friendship abundantly as you join hands and walk through life together.
XOXO,
MK
