Last Wednesday, November 25 2009, I had the privileged to photograph Paul and Joanne Brock renew their vows. Paul and Joanne have been married for 16 1/2 years and Wednesday night symbolized one of the greatest milestones in their lives together. When Paul and Joanne were first married they had their ceremony at a Justice of the Peace. Last Wednesday they were able for the first time to have their church family stand with and support them as their pastor Ray Viola conducted the renewal ceremony. You may ask why 16 1/2 years? Is that not an odd time to renew your vows? Well there is a beautiful story behind that choice. November 25, 2009 was the ten year anniversary of Paul committing his life to Christ and for the first time ever becoming sober and completely drug free. I still get goosebumps thinking about God’s awesome power to deliver and heal the most broken relationships. I am so blessed to have been able to share this miraculous moment with the Brock family. I praise God for his mercy and grace. I praise Him for healing their marriage ten years ago and I praise Him for the wonderful years the Brocks will have in the future. To God be the Glory!
Beautiful Vows
