Last Wednesday, April 7th 2010 at 9:15pm, Kimberly and Jimmy Forte had the miraculous experience of giving birth to their first son. Ezekiel James was born into the world at 7lbs, 6oz and 22 inches long . However not long after Ezekiel was born test results came back showing that the strep b infection was indeed in his blood. Talk about a blow to a newly exhausted mother. Doctors decided to transfer Ezekiel to the NICU unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. Praise God we have one of the best facilities right around the corner. After some further tests we finally got results that the infection was not in his spinal fluid. God was merciful. Ezekiel has been on antibiotics for the past week and is doing wonderful. Mommy and daddy were told if he keeps up the great recovery he should be able to go home earliest end of this week, if not definitely next week.
