Christmas Gifts

When I look back over this past year I am amazed at the many blessings the Lord has given to me and my family. With Christmas just passing and the thought of gifts fresh on my mind only two spectacular gifts stand out. First and foremost is the gift of my savior Jesus Christ and His birth this holiday season. The second is also the gift of life, the life of a child, the life of Gianni Viola.

It’s hard to believe that less than 6 months ago GP was laying lifeless in the ICU of the Golisano Children’s Hospital. G had fallen 15 feet face first from a balcony onto a tile floor. He suffered sever head trauma along with other injuries.

It was truly amazing to see the body of Christ step up and surround Josh and Monique during this most trying time. Family and Friends swarmed the hospital praying over G and embracing Josh and Mo. Petitions from all over went before the Lord. In less than 5 days the hemorrhaging had stopped and G was released from the hospital. The Lord had heard our cries and granted Gianni his little life. He left the hospital in almost perfect condition. He now is running around like a little crazy man again playing with his big bro Appollos and loving on his new born sister Maddy whom he shared a birthday with only weeks before his accident.

I can not thank God enough for his gracious gifts this year. Even if there were no packages under the tree. The fact that GP could spend another Christmas with his family is gift enough for all of us. May God continue to bless the Viola family and grow Gianni into a mighty man of God. Praise be to God for his most sovereign grace.
