Mourning the Loss

I am in utter shock, along with the rest of  the world, over the sudden death of Michael Jackson. I can not believe how short life truly is. The bible is so true when it says that our lives are but a vapor. We are here today and gone tomorrow. My heart breaks for the family. I pray that God will use this great loss as an open door for the salvation of those left behind.

It is sad and true when Jesus states “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gains the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36) Michael gained the whole world and so much more. He was an idol, a legend and king. Music would never have been the same with out him. Our culture would never have been the same with out him. I can not judge nor know what truly was in his heart moments before he died. I do not know if there was any repentance in those moments, but my heart breaks at the probable thought that there was none. I hate to think of the place where his soul will forever reside.

His music will live on no doubt! He has greatly greatly marked our history and hearts. I will be in continued prayer for the Jackson family and fans. Lord you can bring such beauty from ashes, and as you said “with man it is impossible (salvation) but with God all things are possible.”
